Jesus: Trinity or Oneness?

This is a very debated subject. Verses are pulled from every part of the New Testament. Both sides have very compelling arguments. However, neither make sense. It is to the point that both sides repeat the similar generalized statements of, "We can't fathom it as humans," "God is too complex for our human minds," and so on. They come up with analogies that "aren't just right" to explain their side.

What if I told you that I believe neither of those two are accurate? What if I told you that my beliefs, while forming through verses like theirs did, actually come from the Old Testament? That my beliefs stem from Genesis. The very first book of the Bible. The very first chapter of that book, even.

Genesis 1: 3-5 "Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. So there was evening, and there was morning, one day."

This seems simple enough, right? God created night and day. God created light. Notice something, though? "Day" and "Night" are capitalized. They are names. If you go through the Bible you will see Day and Night used to represent things other than the literal days and nights. Now, let's go down a few verses to verse 14.

Genesis 1: 14-19 "God said, “Let there be lights in the dome of the sky to divide the day from the night; let them be for signs, seasons, days and years; and let them be for lights in the dome of the sky to give light to the earth”; and that is how it was. God made the two great lights — the larger light to rule the day and the smaller light to rule the night — and the stars. God put them in the dome of the sky to give light to the earth, to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good. So there was evening, and there was morning, a fourth day."

Let's take a few moments to point out some key details from these two days of creation.
1. Why would God create light twice?
2. In verses 3-5 He saw the light was good but in verses 14-19 He only saw that His work was good.
3. In verses 3-5 day and night are capitalized, as if giving them names, as opposed to verses 14-19 leaving them lower case and simply identifying them.
4. The first set of light and darkness He only divided, while the second set He explains are going in to the sky and are to be used to form a "schedule".

As you can see, these are two different nights and days, two different lights and darknesses. I urge you to search the Bible using those key words, light/day and night/darkness. See how they are using those words and who/what they are symbolizing.

For me, personally, I believe on day one God created Jesus and the Adversary, good and evil, spiritual light and spiritual darkness. I don't believe in the Trinity. I don't believe in Oneness. I believe God created Jesus on day one of creation and that they are all together separate "entities"
.
